Alma Louise Rains

Alma Louise Rains,81, of Vienna was born August 21, 1944, a daughter to Lester and Winnifred (Martin) Terry, departed this life and entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday March 28, 2026. Alma accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age while attending the Terry Baptist Church.

During her working life she was employed at Langenberger Hat Company, Quaker Window, and retired from Maries Manor after 32 years. She often said she wished she was still able to work. Although her job was in housekeeping and laundry, she was very active with the residents. She spent countless hours putting together Christian puzzles with them and having them displayed in the hallways for everyone to enjoy. Every time her granddaughter from Indiana came for a visit she would arrange for her to sing and play piano while serving cake or pie. Alma considered the residents as her family, always wanting to do for them.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children Steven Rains of Vienna, Gina (Dan) Jones of Cambridge City, Indiana; grandchildren Caleb (Haylee) Holman of Kokomo, Indiana, Emily Jones of Cambridge City Indiana, Mitchell (Kaylin) Jones of Richmond, Indiana; great grandchildren Braiden, Aubree, Titus, Liam, and Joelle.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
