August (Bud) Charles Schultehenrich

August Charles (Bud) Schultehenrich of Belle, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 after a long illness. He was 89 years old.

 Bud was born August 25, 1935, in St. Charles, Missouri. He was the fourth of eight siblings. He spent his youth on his parent’s farm before the family moved to the city of St. Charles. 

In his early twenties he ventured off to Colorado to pursue a career as a carpenter spending the last 20 years prior to retirement as a construction superintendent in Colorado and Texas. He also served as president of his local carpenter’s union. While there, he met and married Fran Lis.

Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. In his retirement he became a master woodworker, making furniture and other wood projects while mentoring apprentices. He enjoyed a lifelong passion for baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals thanks to his childhood uncles’ time in the major leagues.

Bud is survived by his wife, Fran, of 63 years, a brother in Wentzville, Missouri, a sister in Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He was well liked by friends and co-workers and very much loved by his wife and family. He will be dearly missed.
