Bernard Lee Neidert, Sr. passed away at the age of 67 at Phelps Health Center in Rolla surrounded by his family.
He was born November 24, 1957, to Kenneth and Ethel (Parkins) Neidert of St, James. Bernard grew up on the family farm in High Gate and graduated from John F. Hodge High School in 1975.
Bernard worked on the family farm side by side with his Dad, Uncle Borden, Grandpa Ed and brother Keith as soon as he could drive a tractor until the farm sold, later putting that knowledge to work at the Circle A Ranch in Iberia.
Bernard was never shy about helping someone that needed help, His sense of humor always had people laughing and wondering what he would do next. That will be missed by everyone who knew him. Even though it was difficult for him to show affection he loved his family and friends.
His love of Bar B Que had him competing at the Kingsford Cookoff at the Belle Fair for several years. His love of cooking always had a smoker or grill going. His love of fishing also had him cooking up his catch for a fish fry. Thanksgiving also had him deep frying the turkey for the family dinner.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneith and Ethel Neidert.
Bernard is survived by his special partner Susan Christeson, children Bernie Neidert Jr, Marie Neidert, Nichole (James) Sheets, Bruce Neidert and Jason Neidert, extended family Crystal Raily, Randall (Jennifer) Railey. Grandchildren Dylon Neidert, Wesson and Willa Sheets, great grandson Noah Neidert, Carlos, Hannah, Skylee (nosey Rosie), Leia (Monkey) Railey; he is also survived by sister Peggy (Norman) Koelling, brother Keith (Velda) Neidert and several nieces and nephews.
Bernard has left a big void in the lives of everyone who loved and knew him.
