Brenda Vogeler

Brenda Vogeler, 77, of Rolla passed away on September 28, 2026, at her home in St. James. She was born August 23, 1949, in Searcy, Arkansas to Sidney Pearson and Betsy (Watson) Clendenin. Brenda was a 1967 graduate of St James High School and married Richard Vogeler on December 09, 1978.

Brenda was a homemaker and a housewife where she got to watch her children grow up. She attended the Rolla First Assembly church for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved cooking big meals, quilting, scrapbooking, shopping, camping and traveling. Brenda loved the Lord and spent a lot of her time in the Bible and mentoring new believers. She was passionate about her faith and would share Jesus wherever she went. Brenda also volunteered at Birthright for many years.

She is survived by her children Jami (Jonas) Boggess of St James, Jaki Gilbert of Rolla, Jessica (Jeff) Stricklan of Vienna, Jennifer (Mike) Spurgeon of St James, Rick (Minerva) Vogeler of Tucson, Arizona, and Brian (Meredith) Vogeler of St. Peters; siblings Barbara Hancock of St. James, Sid (Naomi) Pearson of St. James, Cheryl (Mike) Evans of Rockwall, Texas, Ed (Kathy) Pearson of Cuba; thirteen grandchildren Jordan, Jodi, Janae, Jake, Jadyn, Jacey, Jaelee, Jude, Jaxen, Josie, Jett, Judsen, and Jagger; nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her first husband James Lee and her second husband Richard Vogeler, her father Sidney Pearson, her stepmother Dorthea Pearson, and her mother Betsy Clendenin and her husband Tom and her beloved grandmother Irene Churchwell.

Services are Friday October 2nd, 2026, at the Rolla First Assembly of God church with Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating. There will be a short visitation at 4:00 pm with services at 5:00 pm.

Donations may be made in Brenda’s name to the Rolla Pregnancy Resource Center.

Flowers and gifts may be brought to the church starting at 3:00 pm on the day of services.
