Bridgette Babette Sigmon

Bridgette Babette Sigmon began her Earthly journey on August 9, 1962, born to Elmore and Eva Sigmon in Los Angeles, California. She entered her eternal home on September 11, 2025 at the age of 63. She graduated from Rolla High School in 1980 and assisted with starting City of Light and Life Ministries in St. James, MO. She then moved to Tulsa, OK to attend Rhema Bible College and graduated with full honors. Years later, she moved to Waynesville, MO to serve as Administrative Assistant at The River. She referred to herself as an “OG” (original gangster) of Encounter Ministry where she rarely missed any Ashes to Beauty event, becoming a prominent fixture of the ministry and one of the post leaders of the Waynesville, MO post location. After leaving The River, she was ordained and served as Associate Pastor at City of Light and Life Ministries until 2023, then attending Life Church in Rolla, MO.

Bridgette lived her life with a daily devotion to the Lord, finding strength and joy in her quite times with Him. As a gifted speaker and teacher of the Word, Bridgette joyfully poured into others and taught at least one session at every Encounter Weekend. She was deeply committed to Ashes to Beauty, where she faithfully served as an encourager, mentor, guide to countless women, and spiritual mother to many.

After graduating from Rhema, she poured her creativity and determination into entrepreneurship by owning a cleaning business and later building a highly successful floral arrangement venture. She had a sense of style and a love for the finer things in life, especially Michael Kors, and enjoyed savoring a good cup of quality coffee. The beach always called to her heart, especially the beauty of lighthouses, and she treasured time outdoors. She also had a deep affection for animals, especially dogs, once sharing life with her Doberman, Prince. She loved watching the kids play outside and her quick wit and sassy responses will certainly be missed. Bridgette had a gift for making everyone around her laugh, leaving behind memories full of joy, warmth, and encouragement.

Bridgette will be greatly missed by her family and friends including: her brother, Michael Sigmon of Wynnehaven, FL; mother, Patricia Maxwell of Saint James, MO; brother J.P. Maxwell and wife Christina of Rolla, MO; sister Dawnita Rowden and husband Kevin of Dixon, MO; brother and sister Jeff and Sheila Brawley; Aunt Michelle Johnson of Dixon, MO; nieces and nephews: Matthew, Makayla, Lilliana, Christopher and many other spiritual nieces and nephews; plus so many Ashes 2 Beauty sisters and Men’s Encounter brothers that’s impossible to name them all. She was preceded in death by parents Elmore and Eva Sigmon and spiritual father Jim Maxwell.

Memorial service for Bridgette will be held on Sunday, October 5 at 3:00 pm at Encounter Cove (469 Edge-Way, Roach, MO 65787) and will be officiated by Jeff Brawley of Encounter Ministry. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date at City of Light and Life Ministries with private burial following at the Wynn-Maxwell Cemetery in Rolla, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in memory of Bridgette be made directly to support her memorial service through Venmo to Christina Maxwell @chmaxwell.
