Charles "Charlie, Chuck" Burton Sr

Charles “Charlie, Chuck” Burton, Sr., age 63, of Fredericktown, passed away on Friday September 8, 2023, at Cedar Pointe in Rolla, MO. 

Charlie was born January 24, 1960, in St. Louis, MO to James Elbert and Lucille Marie (Kostuck) Burton. He completed his ASE Certification and went to work at Compare Automotive in Wentzville, AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Ferguson. 

He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, spending time at the creek, listening to music (especially classic rock), working on cars, boating, spending time with his bar buddies and especially with his friends and family.  He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, hard work and his love of the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister Irene Putnam and Steve Burton both of whom passed in July of this year. 

Charlie is survived by a brother James (Vivian) Burton of Camdenton, sisters Sylvia (Fred) Stover of St. Louis, and Andrea Burton-Kopp of Wentzville. He is also survived by his children Carie Ketterer-Schaeffer of Wentzville, Charles (Amanda) Burton II of Rolla, Rhiannon Burton of Phoenix, AZ and Cheyenne Burton of Bisbee AZ; grandchildren Kadin Burton, Leah Burton, Jorge Ramirez Jr, Damien Canaday, and Drake Powell.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date in Fredericktown at a later date.
