Christine "Peggy" Tupper

 CHRISTINE "PEGGY" (nee HOOD) TUPPER of Rolla, Missouri passed from this life with peace and grace on August 18, 2016.   Christine was born on Christmas Day in 1941, in West Point, GA, to John and Mary (Burdette) Hood.  Christine grew up in Lanett, Alabama, the youngest of five children.  Christine was married to Robert Tupper and lived in many states across our country with their three daughters.  Upon their retirement from the US Navy, Christine became a resident of Rolla in 1979.    Christine worked for many years at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center.  Christine had a strong faith in God, unending love for her family and will always be remembered by those who knew her for her beautiful blue eyes and genuine concern for her fellow man. Christine believed that there was good in everyone. Those left behind to carry on her legacy of kindness and love are, Robert Tupper of Dixon, her sisters, Maxine Hood, Valley AL and Betty Hood, Lanett, AL, daughters, Marla Stevenson and husband Richard of Rolla, Donna McKnight, Maryland Heights, Sheryl Rubey, St. James.  Grandchildren Sister Brandi-Lynn McWhorter, Abbey of St. Walburga, Emily Stevenson Stratman, Rolla, Elizabeth Quick and husband Jason, St. James, Michael R. McWhorter, and Erika Keen, St. Charles, Sgt. John Logan, Jr, Ft. Carson, CO, Derek Rubey, St. James, Jennifer Rubey, Glenpool, OK.  Great Grandchildren Akela, Michael Jr, Brock, Alivia, Natalee. Christine was welcomed with open arms in Heaven by her Heavenly Father, her parents, John and Mary Hood, Sisters Phyllis George and Sabra Teague, brother Earl Hood and her grandson, Richard "Austin" Stevenson. Friends and family are welcome at a gravesite service to be held at Pea Ridge Cemetery near Doolittle at 11:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2016.  Pastor Ben Harris will officiate the service.   In keeping with Christine's concern for others, donations may be made, if desired, to Missouri Patriot Paws to sponsor a service dog for a veteran, in her honor.
