Dale Ezra Hammond

Dale Ezra Hammond, 78, of Rolla passed away on April 11, 2026 at the Veterans Home in St. James. He was born May 15, 1947 in Batavia, New York to Ezra and Hazel (Winspear) Hammond. He graduated from Wyoming Central Schools in 1966. On August 10, 1996 he married Judith Hammond in Spencerport, New York.

Dale worked at Rochester Gas and Electric for 32 years as a lineman and a dispatcher. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971 reaching the rank of Sergeant. Dale was a history buff and was always up for a game of euchre.

Those left to mourn his loss are his wife Judith of Rolla; sister-in-law Norma Hammond of Ft. Pierce Florida; stepchildren Colleen Almond of Canisteo New York, Lawrence Davis of Rolla, Jason Spitulnik of Rochester, New York; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Lee Hammond and a nephew Mark Hammond.
