Eve Ann Atkisson

Eve Ann (Evans) Atkisson, of Rolla, passed away April 15, 2026. She was born February 18, 1937 in Rolla.
She attended Rolla Public Schools from 1st-9th grade before moving and graduating high school in Houston, Missouri in 1954. She enrolled at Southwest MO State College and graduated from St. John’s Nursing School. Eve worked 19 years at Phelps County Regional Medical Center. Several of those years she held the position of Director of Nursing and Nursing Service Administrator.
A long time member of First Christian (GreenTree) Church, Eve especially enjoyed the Ambassador class and her hobbies included fishing, reading, playing bridge, golf and table tennis.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Millard B. Evans, Pauline Evans and beloved husband Edward Atkisson and daughter Leann Atkisson Jarrett (Terry), siblings William A. Evans, MaryLee Evans Sands, and Wayne Evans.
Surviving family members include children Laura Atkisson O’Keefe (Matthew) and Alan Atkisson, five grandsons, three great grandchildren and brother Everett Evans.
Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral. Burial will be in the Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
