Helen L. Sewell

Helen L Sewell, 83, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on February 13, 2022.

She was born February 20, 1938, in Hillsboro, IL. She was predeceased by her husband William L. Sewell, and sons, Douglas Sewell and Mark Sewell.

Surviving are her children Robin Benson and Jaye Sewell, as well as sister Linda Jackson. In addition, she is survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 nephew, and many others she considered to be family. She was predeceased by 2 grandchildren: John Sewell and Chelsey Herrick.

Helen’s biggest passion was her family for whom she had an abundance of love. She thoroughly enjoyed working in her yard and caring for her animals. Helen will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate enough to know her.

At Helen’s request, no services will be held.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Phelps County Animal Rescue of St. James, MO.
