Howard Walny

Howard Walny age 75 of Newburg passed away on November 26, 2023.  He was born on September 30, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to Louis and Josephine Walny. Howard was a 20-year veteran of the United States Army, while also continuing his education.

Howard was very active in his community, he was a member of REACT, the Doolittle Fire Department, the VFW, and he was also a Freemason.  He enjoyed diving, spelunking, going to the movies, listening to oldies, and most of all spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 39 years Renate Walny, a sister Vicky and brother-in-law Cass Klapec, brother Louie Walny.

Those left to mourn his passing is his son Erik Walny, daughter Ann (Richie) Wolfe, brothers Mark and Philip (Pat) Walny, sister Margaret Ozga, sister in law Marilyn Walny and grandchildren Jeremy Walny, Johnny Walny, Emily Walny, Joshua Copeland, and Logan Wolfe. 

A private family memorial is planned for a later date.
