James Cook

James Lee Cook passed from this life suddenly on April 30, 2026.

James was born April 16, 1962. The oldest child of Homer L. Cook and Edith I. (Maxwell) Cook. James grew up in Rolla and resided there until his death. James worked as a journyman electrician. He was a gifted artist and loved to paint. He loved the outdoors and trout fishing at Montauk. He could be found doing home improvement projects for his family and friends.

In 1981 he was united in marriage to Dianna (Stotler) Cook. From this union was born 2 sons Justin and Nathan Cook.

James was preceded in death by his father Homer Cook and his son Justin Cook.

He is survived by his mother Edith (Maxwell) Cook, his son Nathan Cook, his grandson Oliver, 2 sisters Sherri (Cook) Stell, Beth (Cook) Hutchens, 1 brother Jeffrey Cook, and several nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed.
