James E. Davis, age 49, of Kahoka, MO, lost his battle with chronic health conditions and entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
He was born May 23, 1972, in Memphis, the son of Lyle E. and Wanda R. (Young) Davis.
James was a 1990 graduate of Clark County R-1 High School in Kahoka, where he played baritone and tuba in the marching and concert bands. He also attended Hannibal-LaGrange College where he was loved and known best as “Jimmy Jam”.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and both sets of grandparents.
He is survived by one sister, Melissa, and her husband, Randal Foss, of San Antonio, TX. James only had one natural sibling, but he considered his cousin, Chris, and many friends his brothers.
James always had a funny quip and a fantastic sense of humor. He loved to laugh and make others laugh with him. He loved music, singing, drawing, playing RPG and video games. He never knew a stranger! He had a huge smile, a listening ear, a quick wit, and an infectious laugh! He loved life and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him!
The family is requesting that anyone who wishes to honor James E. Davis to please contribute to Midwest Children’s Burn Camp in St. Louis, MO.
A Celebration of Life for James will be planned at a later date.
