James Russell "Russ" Hulsey, Sr.

  James Russell Hulsey, age 78 of Bland, MO, passed away Easter morning before sunrise on March 27, 2016, at his home, after a brave journey through cancer. "Pop" was surrounded by his 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who love him. Russ was born June 1, 1937, in Desloge, MO, a son to Oliver and Nellie (Pierce) Hulsey (deceased). Russ attended school at Desloge High School. On May 11, 1957, he was united in marriage to Barbara Henson, also of Desloge. She preceded him in death on November 21, 1994. Russ is survived by his wife Patricia and son James Russell Hulsey, Jr. of Bland, daughter Elizabeth McMahon (Kendall) of St Charles, MO, daughter Melissa Saldana (Jose) of Defiance, MO, son Brian Hawkins (Stephanie) of Clarence, MO and son Jeff Hawkins of Salem, MO.
