James "Jim," "Jimbo" Lutz

Jim Lutz, 63, of Rolla, MO, died on June 9, 2023, at the Columbia University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.  He was born May 6, 1960, in Phelps County, Missouri, the son of Buford Lee Lutz and Dixie L. (Moore) Lutz.

Jim was a member of the Rolla High School Class of 1979.  

Jim was married to his wife, Terry Lutz on June 9, 2007. They celebrated 16 years of marriage and 21 years together.  Jim was exceptional in mechanics and technology.  He was a true leader, a very hard worker, and could solve any problem.  He gave of himself and he loved his family and cherished time spent together.  

Jim enjoyed many things in life.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, going to many races with friends and family; he loved boating on the Gasconade River with friends and family; RC Car racing on his own track with his brothers and family; Go-Cart racing with his grandchildren; BB shoots and comradery; having family gatherings at his home; and vacations.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Terry Lutz, of their home, are his son Terry Lee Jones and wife Brandilyn of Lake Lotawana, MO; Step-children, Angie Yates and husband John of El Dorado Springs, MO; Gabe Lewis of Eldon, MO; Rebecca Noble and husband Zach of Edgar Springs, MO; 9 Grandchildren, Taylor Dillion & husband Ethan; Devin Lewis and wife Brittany, Jordan Lewis; Jordan Jones; Dawson Lewis; Mackenzie Noble; Macy Noble; Carl Jones and Liberty Jones.  5 Great-Granchildren, Iris Dillon; Nathan Lewis; Robert Lewis; Zane Lewis; and Sebastian Lewis.  3 brothers Michael Lutz of Spokane Valley, WA, David Lutz of Cibolo, TX; and Paul Lutz of Vienna, MO; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
