Janis Lynn Barth

 Janis Lynn (Silkwood) Barth, age 67 of Salem, Missouri passed away March 28, 2017, at her home in Salem.   Janis was born on May 14, 1949, in Clinton, Indiana to Joseph E. and Laura L. (Falls) Silkwood. On December 29, 2002, she was united in marriage to Gerhard ‘Hardy' Barth in Cappeln (Foristell), MO. Janis attended Wentzville High School and later got her GED. Janis was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends, auctions, and collecting antiques. She was also learning to play the violin. Janis is survived by: her loving husband Hardy who survives of the home; three sons, John Phegley and wife Lorna of Las Vegas, NV., Scott DeRoy and wife Cindy of Steele, MO., and  Michael DeRoy and wife Jessica of Palm Desert, CA.; one sister, Patricia Tannen and husband Marc of Eureka, MO.; two brothers, Larry Silkwood and wife Wilma of Clayton, IN and  Max Silkwood of Desert Hot Springs, CA; three granddaughters, one grandson and several nieces,  nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Janis was preceded in death by her mother, Laura L. Williams and her father, Joseph E. Silkwood. Graveside Services will be held on April 8, 2017, at 1:00 pm at the St. John´s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Cappeln (Foristell), MO.
