Jim Green of Salem, MO. 83, died 11/28/19 Thanksgiving Day at Seville Care Center. He was born June 9, 1936 to Bill and Mary (Heck) Green of Casey Illinois.
Jim served in the Navy Reserve for 2 years and left with an honorable discharge. Jim and Pat (Boyd) Green were married August 18, 1953 and celebrated 66 years of marriage this year. Jim worked with Kenworth Trucking many years in repairs, maintenance, sales, and management. After retiring, Jim turned to music and stereo repair as a hobby. Some of you may remember him as “Play It Again, Jim”.
Surviving are his wife Pat, children Debbie Hileman and husband Ron of Duncan, Arizona, Jim (Randy) and wife Cindy of Gladstone, Missouri, Mary Beth Knueven and husband Barry of Salem, Missouri, and Juliann Hanson and husband Larry of Kansas City, Missouri , 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister Irene (Green) Lee-Waller and husband Vern of Casey, Illinois, and one sister-in-law Rita Green of Speedway, Indiana.
Preceding Jim in death are his parents, Bill and Mary Green, one brother Dick Green of Speedway, Indiana, one sister Daisy (Green) Burkhardt and husband George of Casey, Illinois, and one brother-in-law Don Lee of Casey, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of Christ in Salem, MO. on Saturday, December 28th, at 1:00. Family will be gathering beforehand at noon.
