John Ottaway

John Ottaway, age 76 of Rolla, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at St Lukes Hospital in Chesterfield.

John was born August 4, 1947, in Jamestown, NY.

In 1970, John was united in marriage to Linda Sherman, she survives at their home.

John enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles at the kitchen table, listening to music, camping, fishing, sitting outside by a fire, boating, vacationing near the ocean and watching Cardinals games.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, John is survived by two daughters, Stacey Ottaway of Rolla and Shanna Lorraine and her husband Gregg of Steelville, a granddaughter, Kristyn Chavez and her husband Omar of San Diego, CA, a grandson, Mason Lorraine of Steelville and a great grandson, Gabriel Chavez of San Diego.

John was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Ottaway.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Rolla Church of the Nazarene, 1901 E. 10th St, Rolla, a Celebration of Johns life will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Sluder officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the services.
