Lara Marie (Barber) Kunz, passed away unexpectedly on October 1st, 2022 at the age of 50 in her home, in Rolla. She was born January 12th, 1972 in Kirkwood, MO.
Lara was the mother of 6 children and lived a short, yet abundant life. She passed onto each of her children an admiration for animals, a love for the rivers of Missouri, and many memories of camping. Most of all, she passed on the bravery to lean on family when life gets hard. Since her passing, her family learned about many of her good deeds during the last few years of her life, which showed her character more than any words could convey. She didn’t have much, but she always helped others the best she could. She regularly told her children how proud she was of them, but now they want to share their love and pride for her, and invite friends and family to join them in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 29th, 1pm-6pm at the Knights of Columbus at 7057 Old Hwy 66 in Cuba, Missouri.
Lara is preceded in death by 3 of her parents: Robert Allen Barber, Linda Virginia (Aslinger) Morgan, and Parry Llewelyn Morgan. She is survived by her mother: Linda Lee (Hawkins) Barber; her children: Lauren (Blankenship) Clark of St. Louis, Kelsie Kunz, Nicholas Kunz, Kursten Kunz of Cuba, Tyler and Trey Kunz of Steelville; her grandchildren: Makenzie and Piper Gibson of Cuba, Marleigh Statler of Rolla, Kaden Kunz of Cuba, and Ezra (Blankenship) Clark of St. Louis; her sister: Lisa (Scot) Schifferdecker of Waterloo, IL; her nephews: Adam Brand and Luke Schifferdecker of Waterloo, IL; and the father(s) of her children: Robert Kunz of Cuba and Richard Blankenship of Fairmount City, IL. She will be missed by many friends and extended family.
