Larry (Buck) Don Loyd, age 77, of Dixon, Missouri, passed away on August 31, 2025.
He was born on September 6, 1947, in Dyess, Arkansas, to the late Alvin and Martha Barnett.
He was baptized on August 18, 1963, and faithfully carried his values throughout his life.
From August 1966 to August 1969, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
A true cowboy at heart, Larry lived his life as a farmer, rancher, and outdoorsman. He loved fishing, traveling, and the open road on his Harley. He enjoyed restoring and working on his 1947 Studebaker, and above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Macy of the home; two sons, Dustin (Pam) and Elliott (Amber) Dixon; his first wife and the mother of Dustin, Carole York; one granddaughter, Macy Loyd of Dixon; four grandsons, Hunter Burnett, Mason Burnett, Jackson Burnett of Dixon, and Trenton Lewis of Lebanon; and three sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Senff of Plymouth, Indiana, Diane Byfield of Elkhart, Indiana, and Janet (Del) Carpenter of Elkhart, Indiana. He is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom admired and loved him dearly.
Larry Don Loyd will be remembered as a hardworking, adventurous, and devoted family man whose laughter and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
