Marvin Major, 56, passed away on Thursday November 13, 2025, at Hickory Manor in Licking. He was born on August 7, 1959, in St. Louis, MO to Bobbie Major and Janice Ayers Conaway.
Marvin graduated from Salem R80 and then Mechanics School in Utah.
He married Pamela Kitts, of Washington, MO, who was his first love.
He later married Angie Chagolla of St. Louis welcoming her son Robbie French into his life. Into this marriage four sons were born Joshua, Skylar, Mathew, and Nicholas.
Marvin worked for various towing services in St. Louis as a tow truck driver and mechanic. He traveled extensively with his work.
Marvin loved hunting, fishing, and generally the outdoor life. He loved to joke and cut up with his nieces and nephews and his many family members.
Marvin is survived by sons Joshua Chagolla, Matthew Major, Nicholas Major, Robbie French; Sisters Ruby Allen of Salem, MO, Sister Christina Wood of Salem, MO, and brother Dennis Major of Little Rock, AR, and a step sister Jeri (Wayne) Marlin of Salem, MO.
He was preceded in death by son Skylar Major, father Bobbie Major, Nancy Major, his mother Janice Ayers, maternal grandparents Hollie and Berneice Conaway, and paternal grandparents Gertrude and Cledis Major.
