Mary Ann Ellis

Mary Ann Ellis (nee Bridges) passed away at 82 on April 4, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis County.

Mary Ann was born August 5, 1942. She was the youngest child of Lois DeLee Bridges and Milton McCarty Bridges. She married Jerry David Ellis on May 9, 1964, whom she adored for almost sixty-one years. Mary loved her life in Gladden, it was where she spent her time with her grandparents, Julia and Brice Smith, and where she stayed for the greatest part of her life. She loved nature and animals and often depicted them in her paintings. She enjoyed doing crafts like quilting, painting, ceramics, jewelry, and projects around the home. She would even find an item at a garage sale or resale shop that needed repair and would fix it, so you never even knew a flaw existed. She was self-employed as a tax preparer. Mary loved to study the bible and share its message with others. Her life as a Jehovah's Witness centered around her beliefs and future hope for humanity.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Lois Bridges and her brother, Claude Bridges.

Mary is survived by her husband, David Ellis, and her brother, Ken Bridges, and many other loving family members.

We will miss your laughter and fun-loving nature that made visits back home special.

Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
