A celebration of life will be held for Pat Perry on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Rolla Lions Club Den in Rolla, Missouri. The celebration will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a dinner reception provided by the Club at 6:00. Pat was a member and past President of the Rolla Lioness Club and was part of the Lions family for decades. She passed away with her family by her side at the age of 77 on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Phelps Health after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Rolla to parents Charles Alfred McWhorter and Virginia Ruth (Davis) McWhorter on April 5, 1945, she had 11 siblings. Memorials and donations are suggested to the Rolla Lions Club Foundation. Cremation services were provided by Rolla Cremation and Memorial, Rolla, MO. Pat and her siblings all grew up in Rolla where she also met the love of her life, Larry D. Perry. Pat and Larry were united in marriage on February 17, 1976 and recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. They are truly blessed with one daughter Linda Willeford and son-in-law Mike of Rolla and equally blessed with one granddaughter Dr. Brittany Ludwig and husband Josh of Chicago.

 

Pat is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Linda and husband, granddaughter Brittany and husband, siblings Carol South (Columbia, TN), Donna Riggs (Rolla), Charles McWhorter (Rolla), Sue Dayton (Rolla), Judy Andrew (Gulf Breeze, FL), Debbie Pomeroy (New Braunfels, TX) and Michael McWhorter (St. Charles, MO) and many nieces and nephews and very special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Gene, Betty, Richard and William.

 

Pat was passionate about family, friends, and the community she lived and worked in which included Lake Spring, Rolla and Salem. She was the Postmaster of the Lake Spring Post Office for many years and retired as Postmaster in 2012. Pat and Larry also owned and operated Perry Farms, a cattle operation at Lake Spring and United Country Heartland Realty in Rolla. She was also a member of the Lauerate Alpha Pi Sorority and the South Central Board of Realtors.

 

Pats life revolved around her family and what she called family, friends that were family! She loved to go RVing at a place called Cloud 9 Ranch in southwest Missouri and to serve the community through the Lions Club.
