Robert “Bob” Ralph Hines, age 76, passed away on October 9, 2026, leaving behind a loving family. Bob was born May 4, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Robert Ellsworth Hines and Clara Mae Coonrad. At just 17 years old, he began his military career in the United States Army, embarking on a journey of service that would span 22 and a half years. He proudly served his country, including a tour in Vietnam, where his courage and bravery earned him the Bronze Star medal with “V” Device for heroism and the Purple Heart. His years of service were a significant part of his life and a testament to his dedication and sacrifice.
Following his retirement from the Army, Bob began a new chapter when he purchased Country Fish Farm in Salem, Missouri. For 18 years, Bob and his family operated the business together.
Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. These interests brought him opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and experience the world around him. In his later years, he made his home in the Cuba and Rolla areas, where he spent his remaining years surrounded by family and friends.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra; his three children, Sonia K. Jenkins of Sullivan, Robert M. Hines and wife Kristi of Sullivan, and Danna M. Perkins and husband Barry of Rolla. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Robert A. Hines, Seth Jenkins, Emily Green, Daniel Jenkins, Madelyn Wiese, Ethan Hines, Jazmine Dishman, and Trevor Perkins; and eight great-grandchildren: Cash Green, Lincoln Wiese, Lainey Wiese, Callie Green, Colt Dishman, Stetson Dishman, Coe Green, and Lila Wiese. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Hines and wife Donna of Kentucky, and his sister, Sue Butt and husband Chuck of Iowa, along with many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
A funeral service honoring Bob’s life will be held on October 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Living Word Church in Leasburg, Missouri. A meal will follow the service, providing family and friends an opportunity to gather and share in remembrance.
May he be remembered with love, gratitude, and honor.
