Robert Hanson

  Robert R. Hanson, age 92, of Rolla, passed away January 13, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family.   Robert was born on July 14, 1924 in Ely, Nevada, a son to the late Fred and Louise Hanson. He was a High School graduate an attended Idaho State College in Boise for 4 years. Following college, Robert joined the Marine Corps and proudly served his country in WWII.   On December 20, 1948 Robert was united in marriage to Betsy Glissman in Salt Lake City. Betsy preceded him in death in December of 1999.   Robert had been employed as a Pharmacist at Fort Leonard Wood for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Rolla and enjoyed playing golf, flying airplanes, reading, and spending time with family and friends.   He is survived by: one son, Eric Hanson and his wife Raeann of Edgar Springs; a granddaughter, Michelle Hileman of Rolla; a great-grandson, Bentley Michael Brown of Rolla; a sister, Karen Woods; and a granddaughter, Robin London as well as many extended family members and friends.         In addition to his wife of 51 years, Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy London and a son, Bradley Hanson.   Memorial Services for Robert will be announced by the family.
