Scott Brian Hinrichs, 71, of Rolla passed away on April 8, 2026, suddenly at his home. He was born December 4, 1954, in Evanston, Illinois to Oscar and Elvena (Leckband) Hinrichs. He graduated from Concordia Seward in Nebraska in 1978. On February 17, 1979, he was married to Judith “Judy” Hinrichs in Rochester, New York.

Scott was a teacher at St. John’s Lutheran Church/School in Hamlin, New York for 12 years before working in various hospitals in New York and North Carolina as a maintenance technician/floor technician.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sporting clay, shooting trap and target shooting.

Those left to mourn his loss are his children Erin (Joseph) Ragan of Rolla and Sarah (Brian) Guck of Pearland, Texas; grandchildren Evelyn, Anna, and Charlie Ragan and Piper, Poppy, and Peyton Guck; brothers Don (Bonnie) Hinrichs, and Paul Hinrichs of Pearland Texas.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife Judy, sister Yvonne Simmons of University City.

There will be a Memorial Service April 29, 2026, with a visitation at 10:00am and a service at 11:00am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rolla, MO with Pastor Bob Mundahl officiating.
