Sharon Dale Owen

Sharon Dale Owen, 89, of Rolla passed away on Monday November 11, 2024, at Phelps Health in Rolla. She was born January 26, 1935, in Chester, Illinois to Jesse and Effie (Parker) Nance. She attended school in Chester, graduating from Chester High School in 1952. In November of 1966 she married Keith Owen in Ontario, California. Keith preceded her in death on August 1, 1978. 

Sharon worked as a Professional Property Manager for real estate companies for many years. She took great pride in growing orchids and dogwoods. She also had a passion for taking care of cats and dogs. 

She is survived by a sister Oma Phelps of Chester, Illinois, a son Rex Owen of Success, Missouri, son William Owen of Rolla, stepson Craig Owen of Wrightwood, California, daughter Leslie Eller of Centralia, Illinois, granddaughter Amy (Ryan) Beaumonte of Ft. Lewis, Washington, granddaughter Renee Lunetta of San Bernardino, California, and a grandson Daniel Laguatian of McMinnville, Oregon.

In addition to her parents and husband Sharon is preceded in death by brothers Roy Cluster, Earl Nance, Forrest Nance, Russell Nance, sisters Omega Reeder, Esther Johnson, Lilah Morgan, stepson Keith G. “Butch” Owen Jr., and granddaughter Alaina Owen.

There will be graveside services in the spring of 2025.
