Thomas (Tom) Lee Wagner

Thomas (Tom) Lee Wagner, of St. James, Missouri, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born September 20, 1959, in Waynesville, Missouri, to the late Thomas Edward Wagner and Marjorie June (Keirstead) Paulsmeyer.

Tom spent his life working in the construction industry, with his work taking him all over the world. But the measure of his life was never simply the work he did; it was the love, generosity, and encouragement he gave to others. Tom had a heart of gold. He would give whatever he had to help someone in need, even if it meant going without himself. He had a way of becoming a father figure to people he met, always offering advice, encouragement, and a push to do better.

Golf was one of Tom’s greatest joys. He could talk about the game for hours, and he often said he couldn’t wait to get to Heaven and play on the best golf course ever made. A lifelong NFL Raiders fan, he loved watching his team play, especially when they beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tom’s faith became an important part of who he was. When he welcomed God into his heart, those closest to him saw a beautiful change in his life. He loved attending Greentree Christian Church, where the pastors, music, and friendships brought him so much happiness. He prayed constantly for others and found great comfort in his faith.

Above all, Tom loved his family. Although he did not get nearly enough time with his two granddaughters, Jordan and Jayden, he loved those girls more than life itself. The time he shared with them was precious to him, and the love he had for them knew no bounds. He will be remembered for his giving spirit, his big heart, his faith, and the way he always wanted the people around him to have a better life.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Jamie Walker, and granddaughters, Jordan Walker and Jayden Wagner; his sister, Shelley Caton (Russell); his brother, Ted Wagner (Tracy); and numerous cousins and close family friends who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Wagner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Greentree Christian Church in Rolla, Missouri, with Chris Foster officiating.
