Victoria "Vickie" Adams

Victoria “Vickie” (Mesa) Adams, age 75 of Rolla, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, July 10, 2020.

Vickie was born on April 4, 1945, in Bisbee, AZ, and graduated from Bisbee High School in 1963.

She was married to Larry Adams, to which one daughter, Gina (Adams) Michael was born.

They moved to Berea, KY, where Vickie was a pharmacy technician for 25 years before she moved to Rolla in 1994. Vickie worked for Briggs and Stratton from the time the doors opened until they closed in 2007. She made many memories and friends in her time there.

Vickie enjoyed playing bingo, going to garage sales, and loved to hang out with her friends. Although she did not get out and about as much in the few years, she loved that her home was a hub for all her friends, family and neighbors to gather and visit. She especially loved her visits and daily phone calls with her dearest friend and sister-in-love, Debbie Mesa. Her younger brother, Jerry Mesa could always brighten her day when he stopped by to visit and drop off a gift or two for her. Vickie did not have a church home but walked strong in her faith with the Lord.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Candy and Esther Mesa (NM), sister Laura Mesa (AZ), brother Ronnie Mesa (TX) and brother Fred Mesa (CA).

She will be deeply missed by daughter Gina (Adams) Michael (GA), sister Esther (Mesa) Stribe (MT), brother Candy Mesa (AR), sister Laura (Mesa) Gripka (TX), sister Michelle (Mesa) Clayton (SC), sister-in-love Debbie Mesa(Rolla), brother Jerry Mesa (Rolla) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Per Vickie’s request, there will be no services. She was forever grateful for her friends and family who gave her so many wonderful memories during her time here on earth.

Expression of sympathy may be made to the family of Vickie Adams in care of Rolla Cremation and Memorial, P.O. Box 1602, Rolla, Mo 65402.

Vicki and I are cousins. We grew up together in Bisbee. Vicki liked to laugh. We used to do lots of things together especially remember going out trick or treating or to the movies. Then we grew up, moved away from Bisbee and lost contact. Will always have good memories of Vicki. RIP
