Vivette Lindstrom, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on March 18, 1952, to Otto & Hedwig (Kuester) Kuckhahn in Merril Wisconsin-- Vivette grew up and graduated from Merrill Senior High in 1970. She later made her home in Plainview, Texas, where she lived for more than 45 years before settling in Salem, Missouri. Vivette shared 56 years of marriage with her husband, James “Jim” Lindstrom. Together, they built a life and a family that grew through the generations. She was the loving mother of Michael (Amber) and Andrew (Sarah) and was affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandchildren, Tristan, Trevin, and Cristián. Her family also included her precious great-grandchildren, Aero, Aria, and Brooks. Vivette is also survived by her brother Al Kuckhahn of Frisco Texas and cousin Inge Stasiewski of Stevens Point Wisconsin, and was preceded in death by her parents, and Al’s wife Jeanie.
She came to know and love her Creator and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 17, 1971. Her faith made talking about the hope of a bright future as laid out in the Bible her passion. She was a people person and was always ready to share her hope with others. Vivette’s love extended to animals, including the many “furry dog kids” who were part of her life over the years. Giraffes held a special place in her heart, and the sight of one will always bring a loving reminder of her. Her family will also remember her many casserole recipes, a collection that inspired plenty of affectionate teasing. Those familiar dishes and the laughter surrounding them are among the everyday memories her loved ones will treasure most.
Vivette leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply and remember her with love. Her memory will live on in the stories they share, the meals that remind them of her, and the cherished name “Nana,” which will forever mean someone very special. She died as a faithful integrity keeper and is safe in Jehovah’s memory waiting to be awakened from her nap.
A memorial service will be held for her at 2pm CST on Nov 7, 2026, at the Salem, MO Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1923 State Hwy 32 in Salem MO. It will be transmitted via Zoom. Please reach out to the family for the log-in information.
