Betty Dora (Clubb) Myers

December 5, 1920 ~ January 20, 2020 (age 99)



Betty Dora Myers was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 5, 1920. She passed away on January 20, 2020 in Newburg, Missouri. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Myers, D.O., her son, Dr. Robert Myers, D.O., daughter, Dianne S. Myers, her parents John Louis and Elizabeth Ann Clubb.

Robert’s children include: Heather Myers & partner, Owen Welch (Lake Tahoe, Nevada), Matt Myers, wife, Janine (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and two children Maya, and Odin; Libby Myers, husband Adrian Skrzycki, daughter, Violet, (Hawaii) and Robert S. Myers II, (Kirksville, MO).

Dianne was married to Dr. Carl Myers, M.D. Platte City, MO.

Surviving family members include daughter, Carol Myers and husband Pat Mihalevich (Newburg), her children, Josh Brown, wife, Leah Brown and  grandchildren, Noah, Carter, Ryan and Ali (Rolla) ;  Kate Roberts, husband, Toby Roberts, grandchildren Bennett and Emma (Rolla); Sons; Zachary Brown (LA,CA) and Michael Fox (Columbia, MO), and two stepchildren; Moriah CreelFox  (Ohio) and Sailah CreelFox Hill, (West Virginia).

Ilene Myers, daughter, (Newburg) and Ilene’s children Candra Hollingsworth, (Rolla) her grandchildren; (Savanna, Aliza, Scarlet, Abby); Celestial Alsamrae, (Rolla), Harmony Burgener, (Hawaii)  grandchildren; Tristan Burgener, Iain and Bella Wallace (Rolla) Isaac Burgener, wife, Kelly and two grandchildren Kensie and Brody (Albuquerque, NM) and Jamie Burgener, (Hawaii).

Richard J. Myers, son and wife, Luce (Newburg) and their two sons Victor Myers, (Boise Idaho), and Dan Myers, wife, Sara (Kansas City, MO).

Betty lived a life devoted to caring for others, assisting her husband at the clinic and at births.  She was fun loving, a world traveler, cared for her children, grandchildren, their spouses and great grandchildren deeply. And as you can read above, there were plenty to love.

She was a gracious hostess and as she said “everyone was welcome to my table” and she lived up to that statement.

Betty was an eternal optimist always reminding everyone “to count their blessings”.

When she was asked what did you do? Her response was “I did it all.”

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rolla, MO.

Betty touched many lives with her generosity.
