Jessie Mae Seifart, age 90, formerly of New York, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at  Rolla Manor.   

Jessie was born July 28, 1929 in Barre Center, New York, a daughter to the late Albert and Dorothy Gaylard.

Jessie attended school at Albion Central in New York.

On November 17, 1951 she was united in marriage to Eric Seifart. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1985.

Jessie was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lyndonville, NY.

Jessie enjoyed gardening, doing crafts, and traveling but her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Jessie is survived by: one daughter, Janice Hetebry and her husband Paul; two sons, John Seifart and his wife Louise and Richard Seifart and his wife Suzanne; four grandchildren, Rebecca Helm and her husband Charles, Paul Hetebry, Jr. and his wife Heather, Sandra Seifart, and Erica Andress and her husband David; five great-grandchildren, Derek Hetebry, Garret Helm, Dillon Hetebry, Logan Helm, and Dustin Hetebry as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jessie was preceded in death by one brother, James Gaylard and one sister, Caroline Davis.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Salem Avenue Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

An additional service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Lyndonville United Presbyterian Church at 12:00 p.m. with a dinner afterwards. Graveside services will follow in the Lynhaven Cemetery in Lyndonville. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
